Sometimes I underestimate people and the lengths they would go to, to get what they want.

In one of my classes we did an experiment on the organisation of cards into suits, colours and even and odd numbers. We were suppose to observe others and see which parts of the brain were being used to do this function. But something else caught my attention, almost all of the students who were putting the cards into the orders the professor told them were more focused on getting the fastest time instead of putting the cards in the correct order, so many made stupid mistakes like, putting the diamond suit into the hearts because both were red.
The people that had the fastest times in the end were the ones that had taken it slow and bothered to look at the cards, instead of just glancing and slamming it onto the table in the wrong order.
Though this experiment may seem stupid, it actually says and links to so much more. Like the social lives we live, the people that were in a rush and trying to get the best time were mostly those that ‘seek the most attention,’ one could say. Everything not just in cards but in their lives too is about being the best and being noticed by others as the best.
So a suggestion to all you out there take it slow, think and look, life isn’t about being the best and the most noticed. There are other more important things and yes I know this may seem cynically of me but honestly I don’t really care about any of that kind of stuff I’m just happy to be alive, even if its not always how I want.
